In order to give our customers more of what they want, TheFlyingPig.Com is proud to announce a Hawaii-based "personal import" (PI) system to deliver goods from Costco and other US retailers. Personal imports are subject to less stringent import restrictions than commercial imports, allowing our customers to order many of their favorite groceries, personal care items and sundries that would otherwise be impossible to get in Japan.

Generally, PI items are dispatched from Hawaii every Tuesday and Friday, with delivery about 5-6 days later. (Note that there are occasional dispatch holidays --- please confirm with us iif delivery by a certain date is desired.) These items are handled by a locally organized entity, TFP International LLC.

PI shipping is flat rate, at 1880 yen per order. (The more items in the order, the lower the unit cost of shipping.)

Items in PI orders are subject to "reasonable quantity" determination by Japan Customs, and the rule of thumb for food is no more than 10-kg per item. Other restrictions may apply to personal care items, supplements, etc.

Personal import items are identified by the small "PI" icon displayed next to the product name. Happy shopping!
