Options
TheFlyingPig.Com accepts four easy methods for order payment: bank/postal
transfer, COD, PayPal and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and JCB). If you elect
to pay by bank/postal transfer, you will be awarded "Pig Miles" worth 5% of the
value of goods in your order. For more about Pig Miles, please see the
Bank/Postal Transfer section below. Please note that payment must be
pre-arranged for all orders. TheFlyingPig.Com cannot bill for subsequent
payment, and cannot accept purchase orders or requisitions.
If you are making a payment from overseas, please see the International Payments
section below.
Order and Payment Confirmation
As soon as you submit your order, regardless of the payment method selected, our
system will automatically issue an email order confirmation. (In the case of
bank/postal transfer orders, this message includes payment instructions.) If
you do not receive this confirmation message, it means either that the order
was not properly communicated to our server, or that our email is not being
properly delivered to your email account. Please contact us
(support@theflyingpig.com) if you do not receive an order confirmation within
15 minutes of submitting your order. For bank/postal transfer and credit card
payments, we will send out a subsequent payment confirmation after the payment
process has been completed. (COD orders do not receive additional payment
confirmation.)
After your order has been dispatched, you will receive a final dispatch
confirmation.
Bank/Postal Transfer
Each order paid by bank/postal transfer is automatically awarded Pig Miles
equivalent to 5% of the value of goods in the order. Pig Miles are
automatically redeemed in the form of a discount the next time you place an
order. Pig Miles do not apply to the consumption tax and shipping portions of
your order.
Postal Transfers
Make a funds transfer ("denshin furikomi") at any post office to the following
Postal Savings (Pa-lu-lu) Account:
"Kigo" (branch number): 17460
"Bango" (account number): 70852321
Account name: TFP
Refer here for more
detailed instructions
The transfer charge is 210 yen for orders up to 10,000 yen, and 340 yen for
orders up to 100,000 yen. This can be less than for a bank ATM, and, depending
on where you live, you may find the post office to be more accessible.
You can also pay directly from a Postal Savings Account, the maximum charge for
which is 140 yen.
Bank Transfers
Make a funds transfer ("denshin furikomi") at any bank ATM to the following
account:
Mizuho Bank
Fukuoka Branch (660)
"Futsu" 8043025
Account name: TFP
IMPORTANT: When using an Internet-based settlement system, or in other cases
where you are required to input the account name manually, please use simply
"TFP" in Roman letters (without the quotation marks).
If you use a Mizuho ATM machine, the charge for a cash transfer will be 105 yen
for orders up to 29,999 yen, or 315 yen for orders of 30,000 yen or more. From
other banks' ATMs, these charges are typically 420 yen and 630 yen
respectively. Charges are generally somewhat less when you use your bank card.
COD
COD is perhaps the most convenient mode of payment, since no further action or
approval is needed after submitting your order. COD payments are made in cash
at the door when the order is delivered (credit cards cannot be accepted for
COD payment). Please note that although delivery agents can make change, exact
or (or at least ballpark) amounts are always appreciated. The exact amount of
the order is stated in both the email order confirmation and subsequent
shipment confirmation.
Credit Cards and Security
TheFlyingPig.Com has taken every reasonable precaution to keep your card data
safe during transmission, processing and (if you choose) storage on our secure
server. Our site features a state-of-the-art level of security. However, the
ultimate risk, no matter how small, associated with credit card transactions
lies with users, card issuers, and insurers. TheFlyingPig.Com assumes no
liability beyond execution of the requested transaction.
Please note also, that credit card approvals are not instantaneous, and order
confirmation does not indicate credit card authorization. Once authorization is
obtained, you will receive a payment confirmation. If authorization cannot be
obtained for some reason (for example, mistaken data submission, fraud
prevention measures by your issuer, or credit limit insufficiency) your order
will be returned to your cart, and you will be requested by email to check out
once again. IMPORTANT: This will generally result in delayed dispatch and
delivery of your order.
Receipts
Your email payment confirmation serves as your receipt from TheFlyingPig.Com.
For payments paid by bank/postal transfer, your transfer receipt is your legal
proof of purchase, and can be used as an official receipt in almost all cases.
For payments made by COD, the official receipt is issued by the delivery agent.
If you require a "ryoshusho" legal receipt for a credit card purchase, please
let us know by email at the time you submit your order.
International Payments
If you are paying by credit card from overseas for a gift delivery within Japan,
please enter the recipient's address and phone information in the credit card
fields, and then send a separate email containing the actual billing
information. The same applies to Japan residents paying with a credit card
administrated internationally.
